This fourteenth issue of AutoRicerca, published in Italian in 2017, has recently been reissued. It contains a single monographic text, written by Andrea Pasotti, which stems from the desire to take stock of near-death experiences some forty years after they became widely known to the general public thanks to Moody's bestseller. The reissue is accompanied by a preface by the author.

The underlying concept is always the same: it is not the brain that creates those experiences, but those experiences are lived in the absence of the brain! This implies that the mind cannot always and absolutely be confined within the skull, as we tend to spontaneously imagine. This is true even if, of course, it will be the revived and surviving human being who will give their own experience the meaning they prefer.
