This fourth issue of AutoRicerca, entirely in Italian, is dedicated to the relationship between science and spirituality. The subject is undoubtedly vast. This is because both science and spirituality, considered individually, are extremely rich and complex approaches to knowledge. It is also because, depending on the culture and specific experience of each scholar and researcher, the concepts of science and spirituality can take on completely different meanings and significance, making it extremely difficult to describe in a simple and objective way the countless possible connections between these two approaches to reality.

In addition to the original contributions, this new edition contains a text written by Galileo Galilei more than four hundred years ago, which is one of the first and most influential works to explicitly address the relationship between science and spirituality.
