The practice of Asanas – Yoga postures – is an experimentation with the body from the viewpoint of its form, to facilitate the emergence of a content. The body is therefore a means, but not the end.
Each Sadhana – practice of Yoga – is like the rising of the Sun on the horizon, it unveils and reveals, bringing to light something of ourselves and our life.
A multisensory experience, to make room for ourselves, to strip ourselves of recurring thoughts and emotions of a destructive nature, which will make us freer from conditioning and more able to enjoy the beauty that runs through all of existence. An infinite process of transformation, representative of life itself, which leads us from childhood towards maturity, in a gradual experience of experimentation and integration.
Yoga as a union of the manifest and the unmanifest, of everything we create in a precise moment, and as an experimentation of the illusory nature of "separation."
Each meeting is structured as a gradual path, which leads us towards more awaken and inner states of presence. Starting from the exposition of reflections on concepts concerning existence, we transfer the same into the experience of Yoga, exploring postures, movement and conscious breathing, always using different techniques, preparatory to the possibility of a more silent listening.
This possibility, able to emerge spontaneously in each of us, is emphasized in the final part of the practice, of greater concentration and immobility.
Language: Italian.
Where: the Mammut Room, in the spaces of Area 302, in via Cadepiano 18, Barbengo.
When: weekly meetings, on Wednesdays from 19:00 to 20:00.
Contribution: 200 fr for a cycle of 10 consecutive meetings, or 90 fr for a cycle of 4 consecutive meetings.
Clothing: Comfortable clothing, suitable for body practices. It is possible to change on the spot but not to take a shower. Depending on the season and the days, the room temperature may fluctuate. Always provide for the possibility of adding or removing a layer.
What you need: your own personal Yoga mat, 1 meditation cushion. Also recommended: 1 blanket (which will be used as a support in some Asanas) and 1 Yoga brick, easy to find in sports stores.
